Keltic ties school visit to Chantlers Primary School
Our first Keltic ties school visit! It all began when we had the fabulous idea of producing recycled ties for schools. We called them Eco Ties. We then thought it would be beneficial for schools and children to find out more about where their schools ties come from. Hence, the Keltic school visits.
Chantlers Primary Schools‘ current uniform doesn’t include a school tie. They decided it was time for a change and wanted to incorporate a school tie for the whole school. This is where we came in. Not only did Chantlers want a school tie but they decided to go for a Keltic Eco Tie! An environmentally friendly tie made from recycled plastic bottles.
The school visit
Chanlters Primary went ahead and ordered their Eco Ties for the whole school – 300 in total! As excited about Eco Ties as we are here at Keltic, they took us up on our offer of a visit. Our ties staff Amanda and Louise made their way down to Bury to talk to the kids. We gave a small presentation on how the plastic bottles we drink from can turn into yarn that make school ties. The children also watched a small video on recycling plastic bottles.
In our true Keltic style we couldn’t go empty handed. We gave the teachers a goodie bag for each child in the school to take home. The goodie bag included a colouring-in sheet, reflective sticker and a competition card. Like all of our Eco Tie school customers, Chantlers were given their very own certificate to display in school.
How cool is that?
The tie itself!
The Chantlers primary school tie is a grey striped tie. Standard type of tie for the older children, and an elasticated version for the younger years. Not forgetting the yarn for this tie has been made from recycled plastic bottles. To read more about our exclusive recycled ties click here for our school Eco Ties page. Above all we would like to say a massive thank you to Chantlers Primary School for the opportunity to visit your school and meet all your lovely children. We cant wait to see all the children wearing their new special ties in September.
