Types of Tie Fastenings

Here’s a quick guide for the type of tie fastenings we can offer for your bespoke ties. It’s not always ideal to have a standard self-tying tie for reasons such as security, the need to have a smart uniform appearance or just for ease. Here are the tie types we can offer you when ordering your ties.

Clip on Ties

Clip-on ties are most popular with firms needing to abide by health and safety rules, such as if working alongside heavy machinery. They are also perfect for schools in that the tie cannot be customised to different lengths or wide knots by pupils which can give a less smart appearance.

Velcro Ties & Elasticated Ties

Similarly to clip-on ties, velcro fastening ties and elasticated ties are both ideal for infant school pupils who are not yet adept at tying knots in a standard tie. Velcro ties have been deemed more popular in recent years for health and safety reasons.
