What is the difference between college ties and school ties?
“College ties” often refer to ties for colleges and universities (or even upper sixth form colleges), and they tend to carry more adult, formal designs compared to younger school ties. While school ties might be very uniform and strictly regulated, college ties can be a bit more stylish or specific to clubs and societies within the college. Keltic can produce ties for a college’s overall identity or for specific college clubs (like sports teams, debating societies, etc.). In terms of construction, they’re the same high quality as school ties, but the designs might include more complex logos or subtler patterns since college students are older and these ties can also serve as alumni ties or memorabilia.
Can Keltic incorporate our college crest on the tie?
Yes, Keltic can definitely weave in a detailed college crest or shield. Colleges often have intricate crests, and Keltic has experience reproducing those on fabric. They might do an all-over repeating small crest, or a single large crest depending on your preference. Often, colleges opt for a classic stripe with the crest placed tastefully.
