Wear it pink day
The month of October means autumn, Halloween and colder weather setting in, but it is also breast cancer awareness month! We’ve all gotten together today to wear something pink in support of Wear It Pink day 2015.
Most people are either directly affected by cancer of know someone who is, so today was a perfect chance to get involved in raising money for a great cause.
We are all sporting something pink, so far we’ve seen t-shirts, polo shirts, corporate shirts, scarves and we have a fluorescent pink tie strolling the office and warehouses!
We think he looks fantastic!
Over the past few days we set up a few games to entice people to raise more money. We’ve had a ‘take your pink’ pick game (a suggestion on the wear it pink website) and a ‘guess how many sweets are in the tub’ game. We’re predicting the winner of the sweets box will be in a sugar coma later on!
With the money raised from today, it will be used by the charity to fund breast cancer research. Anything from improving detection to developing those all important treatments, which all improves cancer sufferer’s chance of survival and will lead along the path to developing a cure one day.
