Custom bow ties are becoming increasingly popular. Our favourite custom bow tie order is the one off order for 50 silk custom bow ties. The smile-raising order was from a lovely couple raising money for a special care unit in Rosie at Cambridge. To raise money for the special care unit Andy Kulina and his wife Jenny decided to put on a charity ball.
The Story
The couple recently had a baby, Emily. Emily was born five weeks premature and had to be cared for at the Special Care Baby Unit at the Rosie in Cambridge. The staff at the unit did an amazing job and Emily was soon a healthy, happy baby. Andy and Jenny, incredibly grateful to the SCBU staff, wanted to give something back to the unit. Therefore, they decided to raise money for them by throwing a charity ball:the SCBU Doo! What might they need for a Scooby-Doo themed ball, you guessed it – Scooby Doo ties!
The Custom Bow Ties
Andy got in touch with us and told us all about his plans for the SCBU Doo. We were thrilled to be playing a part in such an amazing event. After going through different options of custom bow ties with the famous dogs brown spots the couple agreed on the best design!
Andy then made them available online for guests to purchase prior to the event. What a fabulous idea! The ties sold swiftly, and on the evening many of the gentlemen arrived looking extra dapper! Adding to the money made from ticket sales and from a raffle, the custom bow ties helped Andy and Jenny to smash their target: an impressive £10,000. Needless to say the Special Care Baby Unit were very grateful. Overall the night was a huge success and we hear from Andy that everyone – including little Emily – had an absolute ball!
