Cathedral Academy makes the switch to Eco Ties!
Cathedral Academy first showed their interest in our Eco ties early 2019, they sent us one of their existing ties for us to provide them a quote to have the design made using our recycled yarns.
About Cathedral Academy
Miriam Kearney who is the current School Chaplain, runs an after school Eco Club consisting of around 20 members across various year groups. Eco Club meets every Tuesday for an hour and they use the time to take part in activities and discuss how they can make changes to help the environment and become more sustainable within their school and local communities. There was no surprise that Eco Ties became a hot topic to discuss!
What happened next?
A member of our team was invited to attend one of the Eco Club meetings and had the pleasure of getting to know the Miriam and the pupils while discussing how our Eco Ties are made and taking part in a Q & A Session. The pupils fell in love with our Eco Ties from the moment they saw a sample of their current tie made from our recycled yarns and even awarded us with an Environment Award for the work we are doing to help the planet!
The final stage
Within a matter of weeks the Eco Club had approval from the Head Teacher and they placed an order for 500 ties which they received within 4 weeks with a certificate telling them they had saved around 1,000 plastic bottles from landfill which they were delighted about!
