Most hockey clubs run men's and women's sections under one crest, so the tie has to work for everyone who wears it at the end of season dinner. Silk is the usual choice for award and committee ties. We weave the silk and standard versions from the same approved design, so you can order a small silk run without redesigning anything.

Can Keltic design hockey club ties that include our team’s logo and colors?
Yes, definitely. Keltic Ties will incorporate your hockey club’s logo, mascot, and colors directly into the tie’s design. Whether you want bold stripes in your team’s colors or a more subtle single-color tie with the club emblem, their designers can accommodate it. The logo can be either woven into the fabric or added as an embroidered or printed element – in both cases, it will be clear and durable, suitable for representing your hockey club proudly.
Are the ties suitable for both players and club officials?
Yes. Our hockey club ties suit players, coaches, managers and club officials alike, at formal events, award nights and club functions. The classic design works with a suit or club blazer, so everyone looks smart and unified.
How tough are these ties? Hockey can be rough – will the ties last?
Keltic’s ties are made to high standards of quality. They use strong woven polyester (from recycled sources) which results in a tie that doesn’t fray easily and holds its shape well. The ties can handle regular knotting and unknotting – important if club members wear them often. Even if a tie gets tugged (let’s say, in enthusiasm during a celebration), it’s not likely to tear. In short, they are as robust as a tie can be, ensuring longevity through multiple seasons.
Our hockey club is aiming to be eco-conscious. Are these ties a good choice?
Yes – they’re an excellent choice. Keltic’s hockey club ties, like all their club ties, are produced as Eco Ties. This means they’re woven from recycled plastic bottle yarn in a solar-powered UK facility[1]. Each tie effectively recycles material that would otherwise be waste. By choosing these ties, your club demonstrates a commitment to sustainability. Plus, you’re supporting local manufacturing in the UK, which reduces carbon footprint compared to importing ties.
How does the ordering process work for custom hockey ties?
The process is straightforward and collaborative. First, you’ll discuss your design ideas or requirements with Keltic’s team – you can share your club logo and colors, and any style preferences (like striping pattern or placement of logo). Keltic will then create free design visuals of the hockey tie for you to review. You can request changes (for example, “make the stripes a bit thinner” or “move the logo higher”). Once the design is finalized and approved, they’ll go into production. In about 4 weeks, the finished ties will be delivered to you. Keltic handles everything from design to weaving to QC, keeping you informed throughout.
We need the ties before our end-of-season awards night – can Keltic meet that timeline?
In most cases, yes. If your awards night is more than four weeks out, you’re in a comfortable spot because Keltic’s standard lead time is about 4 weeks. If it’s slightly sooner, contact Keltic immediately – they will let you know if they can expedite the process. Because production is in-house in the UK, they have some ability to rush jobs when necessary. They are used to working with sports clubs’ event-driven timelines and will do their best to ensure your hockey club ties arrive in time for the big night.
Is there a minimum or maximum order size for hockey club ties?
Typically, the minimum order is around 36 to 50 ties for a custom run. This covers most medium-sized hockey clubs nicely (players and staff). There isn’t really a strict maximum – Keltic can produce hundreds or even thousands of ties if you’re outfitting a very large organization or multiple teams within a club. If you only need a very small quantity (say a dozen ties), speak with Keltic; they might suggest alternatives like jacquard trim scarves (which have no minimum if ordered with ties) or try to include your small order in a production batch. They strive to be flexible.
Can we get matching scarves or women’s accessories for our club?
Yes, Keltic doesn’t just do ties – they can also provide matching club scarves (which can be great for female club members or supporters) and even bow ties or cravats. For example, they offer company or club scarves that can mirror the tie design or use complementary colors. This way, everyone in the club, regardless of uniform preference, can have something that matches – men could wear the ties, and women could wear the scarves, all in the same club pattern. It’s an excellent way to maintain a consistent look across your hockey club’s attire.
What sets a Keltic hockey club tie apart from an off-the-shelf tie?
A Keltic tie is bespoke to your club – it’s not a generic pattern you’d find in a store. It’s woven with your specific colors, logos, and symbolism. Off-the-shelf ties can’t offer that personalization. Moreover, Keltic’s craftsmanship means the tie has a premium feel: the weave is tight, the colors are vibrant, and the design alignment is perfect. These ties also carry the prestige of being part of your club’s official gear, which can boost team spirit and club pride. In essence, a Keltic hockey club tie is a symbol of belonging – something members will value and opponents will respect when they see it worn at inter-club events.
Why choose Keltic for hockey club ties?
We weave every tie in our own UK family mill, which has seven generations of experience, so design, quality and delivery are all handled in one place. You get free visuals, a free sample and your finished hockey club ties in around 4 weeks.
