Academy Ties – made with recycled yarn

Academy ties

Your academy is one of the most important institutions for the next generation. Whether you are a primary or secondary school, students will be educated by you as well as learn key social skills and etiquette. For many people, the discipline and work ethic they learn at school carries them through to their working lives.

Smart, eco-friendly academy ties

Sustainability is of increasing public concern, so it is vital we pass on social responsibility and a passion for protecting our environment. Our academy ties are an easy way to demonstrate the importance of sustainable practice, without having to compromise on your school’s branding and identity, which is key to boosting student morale.

At Keltic Ties, we create a range of eco ties for academies at our UK facility. Just like a regular school tie, we create the accessory from yarn. However, instead of using oils, we make yarn from recycled plastic bottles. Each tie ordered from us repurposes two plastic bottles. This saves them from sitting in a landfill or going into the ocean, where they can have a detrimental effect on sea life. Ordering eco ties for your establishment will help reduce pollution and potentially save the lives of turtles and other sea creatures in the process.

Using our services is perfect if you have designed a new logo for your academy, or are changing your school colours. It is also a great start if you are a newly formed school looking to make an impression. We can help you to design your new academy ties or use an existing design if you want to maintain your current branding.

With primary and secondary schools alike now becoming academies, we stock a range of options to choose from that can cater to any age group. As children get older and grow, they will need different sizes to keep up with them, so we’ve made it simple to order different lengths to suit different year groups.

You can also choose from a range of different fastenings depending on what will be easier for children at your school to use. We can make academy ties that have Velcro fastenings, are elasticated or clip-on to make wearing a tie with their uniform as easy as possible.

How we work

When you call us, it helps us to know a little about your needs. It will be helpful to have information ready about the number of ties you will need, which ages your school caters for and if you have any existing design ideas. We can match the ties perfectly to your image and branding, so you will not have to worry about the colour is a different tone from the other parts of your uniform.

From here, our artist will create free visuals for you to approve. Once you are happy with the design, we will then make a free sample and send it to you. We find this is the best way to make sure everyone is happy with the product before we commit to large scale production. Then, with everything approved by you, we will begin to create your ties at our solar-powered mill here in the UK.

We can make your order in 4 weeks or less to make sure you receive your ties in a timely fashion, ready for your students. We ask for a minimum order of 50 ties, and have a popular price match policy. This guarantees you will pay the same or less than you currently do for ties that have not been made from recycled yarn.

Get in touch today to find out how we can help your ties become more sustainable.
