Elasticated ties & Velcro ties

We manufacture and supply high quality elasticated ties in your custom school colours, ideal for young pupils who aren't yet adept at tying knots! Elastic neck fastenings are designed only for Primary school students and infants from ages from 3-11. Due to the dimensions of the tie, Clip-On Ties aren't suitable for these pupils, as there is only one standard size clip, which is too large for the size of ties required for this age-range.

Velcro ties are also an alternative to standard self-tie ties. Velcro neck fastenings are used by both primary schools and secondary schools. Primary schools chose Velcro because not all pupils are able to tie the tie themselves, as with elasticated ties.

Secondary schools are increasingly opting for Velcro or clip-on ties, not just for health and safety reasons, but because it gives a smarter image, meaning ties all look exactly the same in terms of length and knot (and also if there is a school crest, that is in the same position). With a standard self tie school tie it will be down to the student how they wish the tie to look, meaning there is much more variation in appearance.
